I used the supplied velcro strips and attached it to the rear end of the subframe, just before the locking mechanism. Doesn't seem to have moved any, and it's been there for about 4 months and no problems yet.

 

Mine has been flopping around the tail section of the bike for 5 years without any problems, minus the sheetmetal incident.

 

Well there's something to be said for that I guess.
If all the oem stuff (ecu, whatever) are mounted in rubber sleeves, I think that's how I'm going to mount my pc3 too.

Mine seems fine mounted with velcro. Removed the owner's manual, seemed a bit tight on top of the PCIII. Later model seats have a different underside and you have to mount it further forward or to the side.

 

mines flopping around real good along with the ecm and all 4 of my relays, railroad crossings make sure of that.
i think most problems relate to bad connections not encapsulated electronics.

 

Mounting? Mine dragged behind my bike until it stopped working. Those things are garbage.

 

Mine is mounted firmly in the manufacture's box at the supplier. Man, I need to cough up the money and buy one.
