Hey cant help you with the paint but If you get that touched up..how about a write up and some pics on how the job went?

I need a little touch up on mine too. Ive chosen to sand it down and use high heat silver paint but I don't feel so willing to tear apart my bike lately. Id like to see how it goes for you.

The one I found was for 2002-2004!! and I have a 2005 it is darker!!

 

Ah crap.... you're right about the 05+ being darker...

Just pull it off and powdercoat it. You'll need a new gasket.

You got a spare oven? you can do it yourself...

 

I do powdercoating at home in a surplus electric oven. The results are really good looking and durable.

 

The color is the issue!! Can u Match that?

 

I stripped my cover and came *close* to matching the paint (not my forte, as I am partially colorblind) by mixing powders to suit, and coating a few sample parts. It can be done.
