If someone messages you giving details for an item listed but from a different account, it most probably is a scam.

I had asked about an exhaust posted last year and received a message from a different party with an email address to contact the buyer. I was one step away from sending the funds, when i decided not to.

Just a heads-up to everyone, be cautious.

I know this is a little older but I just had the same experience with this. I posted looking for an exhaust, got a private message from a new account trying to get me to contact "his friend who's selling one" and the guy emails me back saying to use friends and family on PayPal. At that point I realized it was a scam and backed out but yea this forum has some scammers apparently.
