I use a large syringe (no needle) and a rubber hose that fits over the bleeder screw nipple and the syringe tip. Fill the master cylinder, pump pump pump the lever, crack the bleeder nut loose and draw the syringe, tighten the bleeder nut, refill the MC with the fluid from the syringe (if clean), and repeat.

You can get the large syringe from a drugstore for alot less than a vacuum pump and you have more draw control over the line air evacuation.

I gotta tell you, I've bought two vacuum bleeders over the last 10 years, and have thrown both of them away in frustration. I just don't think you get anywhere near as good of a bleed with them as you do the old fashioned way. Yep, it's a pain in the ass, but I'd rather have brakes that work better than do something the convenient way.

I actually agree, I just wanted to crab and complain. I'm guessing at the most I'll only be doing it once, maybe twice a year.

If you combine the mity-vac, and normal bleed it works way better (plus vacuuming out the old fluid from the resi vs. pulling it through the system).
The big ear syringes for a buck are great, but the DOT eats the seal so after a use they don't last well for next time.

The ONLY thing the MV is any good for is evacuating fluid for a line change, thats it!

hmmmm guess ya just have to be smarter than the MITY-VAC to use it correctly. lol
i will NEVER do it the ol fashion way EVER AGAIN !!! i pull 2-3 resys thru the lines and then crack the banjo at the master after reassembly of everything.
