I have a Hornet 919 date 2002 for Asia market-where the law limit speed under 180 km/h.
While the one for European can go maximum 260km/h (see pictures).
Anybody have ideas how to derestrict the limitter in my bike.
Thanks so much for your helping

Would a ECM from an american, European model make the change? It will be cool to bury the needle on your speedo.

This is exactly what I'm thinking. If this is the solution, perhaps one of the members here can help put this together for you. But!!!! Got to make sure that this is the solution. Any experts here?

This is the simple kit I put together & distribute

Remove your tail section & undo the T shaped cover attached (4 push pins) on the bottom of the tail section right behind the battery. Under that there will be a black ECU box with a gray connector & a black connector.
This mod is best done with the PCII, as you can do the mod by splicing into the PCII harness instead of the ECU harness & if you ever need to undo the mod you can make it look 100% stock
You can obtain your own connectors from a cd-audio cable (pictured below) as it has the perfect size connectors to match the ECU pins.

Another solution that I'm thinking to use the speedohealer to convert from km to miles. When I go at 100 m/h the signal send to ECM only 100km/h it mean I can go maxinum 180 m/h -> 180x1.6 = 288 km/h

http://www.speedohealer.com/eng/intro.htm

I write an email to the techinal engineer of speedohealer for asking
And this is his answer

Hello,
Yes, if you enable the SH''s "kph to mph" conversion mode, e.g. 140 indicated
on your meter will mean 140 mph road speed.
Probably it will also by-pass the speed limiter.
However, we do not have information on whether there is another kind of
restiction (e.g. HP) on this bike for the Asian market.
Kind Regards,
/Norbert

Buy new ECM it mean I need to buy new HISS lock, seat lock, tank lock... it too expensive.
I think the bike for Asian market only have 1 speed limitter inside, and I want to disable it
