I am bringing home a big turd.....

After lots of test rides, lots of thinking about why I ride, and lots of thinking about the long term.....

Tomorrow.....

This should be in my garage. It is completely different for me, but I am going to beat the **** out of it and use it like it was intended. Hopefully, I can find some like minded adventurers around my way to give me some tips and tricks.

Cool! Congrats on figuring out what you want. Looks like it's gonna' be a lot of fun. I would totally be pulling into and out of gas stations over the curbs instead of the entrances just because I could.

Now you and Kev can load up and go the 'Long Way Round' together...
(I say that to be funny, but if I had the means I'd do it in a second)
Whoh, that thing hurts my eyes. Have fun!
man, that's an ugly bike.
get used to hearing that

Hope you love it!

At least the blue colour is a lot more pleasing on the eyes then this older one.
Just in case, here is the link to the Triumph RAT.net

It doesn't matter what you ride, only that you ride.
Congrats...

True enough... You'll have fun.
Congrats and good luck!
You just have to love to ride...I enjoy riding my moped and that doesnt look cool. Its all about having fun.
Just parked it in the garage. Of course last thing out of the dealers mouth.....

"Watch out for those tires, they are new and slick"

Not anymore. No chicken strips whatsoever. It is definately different to ride. I was aiming for potholes and anything else that could get in the way. No problems at all. Too bad the thing is so tall, I am 6.2 and cannot flatfoot it. I cannot imagine a 5'10" rider or shorter rider stopping at a light with this.

Tell me about it, your bike is really tall... A friend asked me if I wanted to ride his, with my 26" inseam! No freekin' way.

You should see it there. I am trying to talk Jetblast into bringing up the GS.
The mountains would not be too far away for a true "adventure touring" experience. Might make for a very fun vacation.

I cannot find the camera. I will check with the GF tonight. If I cannot find it, I will borrow a neighbors or something.

Dayrock? Bring a camera when you come get the trailer.

Curious as to how the balance is? It looks slightly top heavy, especially with a full load of fuel.
That's close to the all around bike I would choose if I could only have one scoot to do everything. Congrat-o's ameoba!
I would if you were gonna be home but sounds like you'll be on a hot date! Thanks again for letting my whore out your trailer. I'll try to bring her back the way she left (not like last time)!

Balance/turn in/ exit lines etc..... all different then what I am used to. However, in the short 100 miles I have put on the bike, I have scrubbed the tires to the edges. The biggest adjustment I need to make is being smoother on the brakes. The front has a long way to dive.

I am beyond excited now. The bike has way more pep than I was expecting. It has been drawing a crowd everywhere I take it. I think cops are going to give me the benefit of the doubt thinking i am a 40 something or older putting around. Ha!

:wheelchair:
I've seen the beast and she ain't as ugly as you think...hahaha. Nice purchase Mikey!

955 Motor, mmmmmm mmmmmm mmmmmm

You may here a ghosly voice telling you to:

"Keep your eye out for a wrecked Daytonaaaaaaaaaaaa. Get the motor, FI and Computerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Just in case you want 43 more horsepowerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr" or something like that.

That't a sportbike riding ghostly voice, I think.
