2002 - bought it in 2004 as my first bike. it looked nothing like this...
I've put 48k miles on it and it still is old reliable. any time the Adventure Bike or DS bikes are giving me issues, the Hornet always starts and always is ready to go for a Rip.

2002 with under 12,000km on it, acquired last August. I'd been looking for one for years and finally found one within a day's drive and jumped on it before it got scooped up. Immaculate condition with a few tasteful and functional additions (windscreen, bellypan, levers, mirrors, etc). Absolutely love this thing!

Bought mine new in 2003. Now has nearly 66k miles on it. I won't ever sell this, love the all round ability of it. It's done commuting, scratching, touring, is as good 2-up as on my own etc. It just does everything. Could do with a tidy up now with some paint fixing, but runs better than new.

Hay nice 2002 buddy. I have been looking for years as well. Needed to down size from a 1998 Valkyrie. Needed one that would fit in my shop space. How do you like the windshield?

Windshield is super-effective. It was a drive-and-ride trip to pick up the bike just shy of 800km from home, and it does a great job of keeping all the wind pressure off my chest while still keeping the helmet in clean air. I'm 5'10 with a tall torso, only a 30" inseam, so it would likely be equally effective for anyone up to 6'2ish, I'm guessing.

The conversion was made to '04 Digital Metallic Silver, along with extensive powder coating in 2016
