Hey guys! This site is great for sharing experiences and building a community of like minded people. I was curious of how many Hornet riders were left, so i wanted to do a check in post! Post a pic of your Hornet and where you are from. Maybe a little back story of how long you’ve had it and what you like most about it! I’l go first!

Howdy from down south. 04 purchased in 2010 with something like 10k on the clock, she's now over 40k. She's seen more dirt than a lot of ADV bikes. No fairing in the way, reliable, good range (tank to tank means I'm overdue for a break.) She's been as far east as NC, and been to the west cost in CA. This shot was in CO, just NW of Denver. The impending downhill was steep enough theres no way I would have tried to turn around on it. As I was making the descent it started to sprinkle. By the time I got geared it up it was absolutely pouring rain. Made the decision to stick to pavement and had a blast and a half getting back into town as the rain went away. Cager in a ricer was carrying a good pace and made room for me and waved me by on the outside through a nice right hand sweeper. Gave him a fist bump as I cruised by which gave him the biggest grin I think I've ever seen.

Bought it new in 2005. It still looks the same. I wanted something akin to my '73 SOHC CB750, in other words an "UJM" type bike. Had to have a centre stand. Had to have a real world passenger post, not something elevated half way to the moon with my wife's knees by her ears. Didn't want a single side exhaust outlet, again out of consideration of the passenger. Wanted a sub 500# wet weight bike. Wanted something litre-ish in displacement. I love it! I'll never sell it.

also use glasses when riding and it fogs... can you I ask for any tips dear sir??
Would be glad to but it's not an issue for me, even in winter. (I live at gps coordinates of 36° 50' 54.4596'' S and 174° 45' 48.0096'' E, so experience a pretty moderate climate.)

My LS2 helmet has a pinlock visor, a chin vent which blows air up my face, and a rear exhaust vent, so the air flows through pretty well...

great looking bike ,man! I understand the passenger situation, that’s why I got rid of the Corbin seat and went back to the original

I have owned my 2007 since Summer 2019. It does commuting, light touring, and 2up. Wasn’t really looking for one, but came across it at a great deal, and it was a good complement to my dual-sport. Wish it had better wind protection.

The original owner bought this bike in San Diego, California. I bought in from a guy in Baltimore, Maryland, and now it’s current home is New Haven, Connecticut.
