What do you think MSRP will be? I am looking at a second bike and turning the RR into track-only.

it's based on the multistrada so I'm guessing it'll come in around $8995. I've got about a year to save up. :)

Damn... that thing sure is sweet. I wonder what the seat height is going to be. That is my biggest problem when it comes to SM's.

Yea, there is a write up on it in the new Cycle World. Definately a sweet ride! If I remember correctly it is around 13k. Don't remember the displacement off hand though.

the same 1000cc dual spark twin in the Multistrada and sport classic bikes. just haven't heard if they're shortening it up or not. That's a whole lot of cajones on a bike that light.

I went to Tampa Eurocycles tonight to see the official unveiling of the Hypermotard. They had an "S" model with Termi 2 into 1 racing exhaust, chip, etc. It was up on a bike lift but they fired it up inside the showroom anyway. Sounded awesome and looked like it had the "goods". The owner said this was the first one and was designated as a demo model. So Kevin get your ass over there and demo it and then give us a detailed road test write up, cause you know I can't write as eloquently as you. They gave away some shirts, hats, and a pair of tickets to the USGP. I didn't win jack. There were free of posters of the crazy spaniard backing it in with his knee down and thumb up! Cool. (now where is that damn lottery ticket.......................)

I got to do a test ride of the Hypermotard, Saturday at Moto Italiano in Capitola and I have to say it was a fun bike as all motards are, but I was a bit disappointed as the Hypermotard was a bit underpowered for an 1100, a bit heavy for a motard and way too expensive at $14K for the Ohlin’s shocked, Marchesini rim equipped S model. You basically get a stripped down and motarded Multistrada - as the frame, engine and swing arm come directly from the Multi. I felt it should have power/snap wheelied in second but nope, had to clutch it... the handling, the suspension, the sound and the brakes are absolutely phenomenal on the Hyper, but I know there are funner motards out there at half the cost. Here are some pictures…
