I have been doing quite a bit of research online for the best exhaust for my 919. I see quite a bit of options, and I also see a lot of people doing the 900rr header swap.I’m trying not to break the bank, but buying a used set of headers and then the slip on could cost around $500 or more.. but I ran across this full voodoo System for a 900rr for a little under $500. I would think that would fit, but it didn’t list it fitting my 919 on the listing.. has anyone ever put a full voodoo 900rr system on your bike, and if so how did you like it?

Your live near OH? I have a set of slip ons for the stock location. I’ll sell cheap. Can ship if you cover the shipping. I’ll get picks if you’re interested.

I consider a full header a waste of time unless you just really like the mid height side mount exhaust. Unless you get inside the engine there isn’t much power to gain above what slip ons provide.

touring919's post has got good valid comments within.

I'll add in a bit more.
The factory 900RR header has exhaust timing that is mismatched for 919.
But at least the factory header is sophisticated in the sense of it being a bonafide 4:2:1.
I found some pictures of the VooDoo 900rr header.
It sure looks to be an ancient old school simple 4:1 design that will aggravate the mismatch with the 919 particulars even more.

Thank you for the reply, was beginning to think no one was alive on this forum.. would this mean it would need to be remapped or need a power commander? Or that it would just mess it up all together?

Personally, I consider braided brake lines to be one of the best performance mods for the 919.

On topic, if you just want more noise from your bike, search this site for 'bafflectomy'
That’s my next step.. I drilled a few holes around the baffle and it gave it a little more sound, not sure if I like the sound.. will probably go ahead with the full baffle removal soon.

Yes, you'd need a PowerCommander, otherwise the already poor fueling will be really bad.

Yes, this forum is a wee bit quiet at present.

I’ll get some pictures tomorrow and send your way. They are LOUD. So if that is what you are after you’ll be set.
I disagree that a pc is needed. On my first bike I had slip ons. Ported head. And a thinner head gasket. I was still rich. Air fuel was perfectly safe on an dyno. And saw no degradation from original throttle response. I’ve never ridden a 919 with a pc to know what it could be like. I assume its initial throttle response is smoother. All I know for sure is that you do not need one.
