Bought bike after it had been sitting foe a couple months unprepared. Changed out gas for premium along with fuel pump and fuel filter. New tank cap as well. Bike looses throttle the warmer it gets. The worst is nothing over 2,300 when the fan kicks on. When it cold it funs great though. Could really use some advice here. Thx

twtex has a decent bandit following there, but theres plenty of smart guys here. Things I would check/do: condition of plugs/plug wires. air filter, clean and bench test carbs (mount in a vice, add fuel, make sure they don't weap gas), check valves. Has the battery been load tested (putting a meter on it and reading 12-14v is not a load test...)? Maybe heat up the coils with a hair dryer before starting it and see if that reproduces the 2300rpm issue while the rest of the engine is cold

Are you getting anywhere with the problem?
Noted that your 08 is the 2nd year of fuel injection.
What prompted you to replace the fuel pump and filter?
What do you know of the bike's history before you bought it?

No history. Got it from a tow yard. Replaced pump and filter because of how long the bike was sitting unprepared. And I'm not getting anywhere really. All 4 coils tested between 1.4 and 1.8 ohms, gas is good with slight bit of additive. Temp sensor is new. Oil change and filter plus airfilter.

Here's a new one. Got it nice and hot so it would start acting up again. Checked voltage at battery with running, 13.98 - 14.07. So that wasn't it. But I disconnected the battery for about 20 seconds and when I started it again I got full tilt throttle all the way to 8g. But once I headed down the road it got worse very quickly. CDI was a little warm at the bottom, not hot but could that be my whole issue?

It certainly could be, smells like a bad ground or something broken in the ECU. I'd start with checking all of your ground connections.
