Dropped my 03 919 while walking it through a u-turn in my step-mom's front yard. Unluckily the seat got caught in the gate and tore it up. And now it's held together with black duct tape. Also my pride got banged up pretty good.
So... does anybody have a seat they want to part with?
I never priced it myself, but I know a few others here have had an upholstery shops work on theirs. I'm sure they can also repair the foam and even add upgrades such as gel inserts, etc.. to make it more comfortable.
I'm going to do it. Even with the one-timer tool, it'll cost maybe $60. That's much better than getting a seat. My dad has a compressor, but I won't get a chance to go by his place for several weeks.
I don't like buying tools for 1 use, but for $20...
EDIT... anyone want to buy a used pneumatic stapler? lol
Excellent. It really isn't that hard, just take your time. When you are done you will have a new skill and a new tool and enough vinyl leftover to recover it again in a few years.
