Not bad. Flat black Krylon works well also. |

SV650s | Nothing wrong with low budget mods. As long as you are happy with them, that is the bottom line. |

Inexpensive mirror swap... Hi all. This forum has been very helpful to me, thanks. I wasnt crazy about the the chromy mirrors on my 2002 919 but i am cheap and didnt want to spend a lot on new mirrors so i ordered these for like 12 bux a piece from a Dennis Kirk catalog i was thumbing through. I wanted the black/chrome color scheme to blend with the front end of the bike. They bend a little differently than stock, but they work great. Let me know what you think and if anyone wants a part #. Simple install. I also got this clear Pro Grip tank pad so i can finally stop scratching the tank with my belt buckle and zippers. I like the way the air patterns formed under it, but i'll probably smooth it down and try to get them out. If you are looking for a pad i recommend the clear on a black 2002- the pics dont do it justice. Lastly, the cheap way i custom-closed the grab rail holes. I found my ex's yoga mat in my basement. It is made of an interesting semi-breathable, foamy, rubbery, awsome-textured material. So naturally I cut it up! |
