If they want to play hardball you could offer to be put on a driving probation of lets say a year where if caught in violation of any traffic laws you will be subject to harsh discipline. I doubt if it will come to that though.

I guess I deserved it!

The fact is... I've been driving too fast. THIS TIME, I really wasn't too reckless... Just driving along after being awekened by a page... Procedure -not too bad. Driving home.... A new Hummer sporting "22's" and hi-intens headlights pulls in behind me... the lights bother me (blue-light) and I'm thinking- gotta get out of here - 250 ft-lbs torque go to work for abot 3 secounds and I notice the silouete of the Land Shark ahead... i feather the brakes in hope of "blending'... not to be... He pulls me over - and (ironically) I expect he won't ticket me. The verbal exchange was pleasant... I told him about the Hummer, when I should have told him about my service with the USMS as a tactical Paramedic. Not that it matters anymore... B/c I dropped out last year...
I'm slated to go to "driving school" 8 hrs on a saturday... Then may have to do com-service after... and I had a clean record..!

Think the officer will show up?

Welcome to the addiction Darkness. We have quite a few Carolinians on here.

SV650s Sorry to hear of your unfortunate ticket. Maybe you should have told the officer that you were on your way to the hospital for a emergency.

Welcome aboard...

I am not familiar with NC laws - sorry. 91 in a 65 sounds like a pretty harsh ticket though. You mention Med. procedure... are you an EMT? Doc? What kind of medical practice? Maybe there is a mitigating angle there? I California, that would be a stiff fine and penalty like 1 - 2 points. But, you were below 100 MPH, so no suspension unless of course there were priors.

That is not nice.
It's bad enough that you losers scare off all the women on this site, now you're trying to intimidate the new guy.

HondaStreetfigh Wait a second. I meant to say : Don't run. Don't speed. Don't break the law.
10-08-2007 08:34 PM
HondaStreetfigh In VA that's a HUGE fine. Most bikers now don't pull over anymore. You would have to pay for 3 years and it would be 1-3+ thousand.

One of the guys in my club ran, and his second time running he wrecked. Broke both arms and a leg. But he's alive!

As for the other members... Our president has said that we'd get put on probation if he finds out we ran. Buuuut yeah. If you're speeding, it's better to keep going and pretend you didn't see them. Use the Ricky Bobby excuse, "I wanna go fast!"
