hi, I am new and I was wondering if you could tell me which triple clamp you had on your 919 when you had the ProTaper handlebars/Risers on it? I have been looking to change out my bars and would like to go all black like you have done..

    Hi Mike,

I'm in the process of giving my '06 919 a makeover which includes powder coating the swingarm. When you did yours, did you remove the swingarm bearings yourself and if you did, which type of bearing puller / driver did you use?

I have a Husqvarna WR300 dirtbike as well, hoping for bearing tools that can be used for both bikes.

    Thanks,
    Vaughan

    Mike,

Thanks for the info. I've talked with Lauren before to get rivets and packing. She's great. $250 is a bit pricey. I'm going to try fabricating something myself. By looking at your pics I can get an idea of what I need.

    Thanks
    Eric

    Eric,
I'm not sure if they were from another model or not. I called Yoshimura and told them what exhaust I had, and that I wanted carbon end caps. They checked part numbers and sent me these.
The parts are a little pricey - If I remember correctly it was about $250 for all the parts to convert the endcaps. That was more than two years ago, so who knows what they cost now.
Give Lauren a call, she was really helpful.

    Hey there,

I was looking at your thread about your carbon fiber end caps on your Yoshi TRS's. They look awesome. Were those from a different model and they just happened to fit? How much were they? I have a set of yoshis and want end caps like that. They didn't have any on their website so I've been playing with the idea of making my own, but If i could get some already made that would be much easier.

    Thanks

My 919 is similar to yours, but I like what you've done better! I'd like to see more pics of your bike... do you have any posted? Can you send me a link? Thx, 9one9er

Just got off the phone with Traxxion and they say that the 02 model forks will be fine as they basically gut them and install their cartridges. Sorry for jumping the gun, just worried that the forks might be the best solution, but apparently not the case. Good luck with your sale.
