Ok, so I've been totally remiss about keeping up with messages on this site, and just noticed this one, months late, please excuse me. I expect you're settled into a new home now, but wanted to welcome you back to FW.

If you ever want to go for a ride or are at any point looking to move, my number is 817-437-7068. Let me introduce you to riding in the North Texas hill country if you haven't already taken advantage.

    Cheers,
    Devin

HI. Sorry it took me so long to get back to you.I have a 09 K 1300 S in Lava Orange (the faster color). Just turned 7400 miles. Been through 1 set of Conti Road Attacks @ 4100 mi. I,m getting much better wear from the michelins .The bike is PHENOMINAL. I've been riding 40+ years. It is my first non-cruiser.Once I got used to the riding position the bike is quite comfortable.Ergos are right on for me 5' 7" 160 lbs.I installed a peg lowering kit, but removed it when my foot touched the road and up-shifted half way through the turn.Had switch issues (switches out of BMW specs) and a re-map of the fuel delevery system. All done by the dealer no hassels.
The engine is verry flexable as it delivers about 70% of its power from 2700 rpm. Redline is @ 10,500 (or 11,000)
Power is relativley linear. As the motor breaks in , I'v noticed she pulls harder from 7000 rpm on up.This bike has the BEST lighting system on a bike. It's only down fall is it is a session in "self control" every time I ride
