Turn signals

Yay, look what I found when I arrived at work this morning...

Looks like I'll be sourcing replacements sooner than expected.

For whatever reason, the new KLR signals are prone to failure. Kawasaki has not officially acknowledged this yet, but my dealer has the pics and he is sending them to Kaw. I could get them replaced under warranty, but that seems futile. I'm sourcing aftermarket now.

Looking at Rizoma and Motrax.

Thanks Mike. I do like the Rizoma Zero-11 signals. They almost look like a factory replacement for the stockers.

They look great, but you're okay without them being running lights?

Kawaski should be ashamed of themselves.

KLR doesn't have running lights anyway.

that's alright. with all the money you save when buying a klr you can still replace the signals & laugh your way down the trail.

If I ever get to turn it on and get the first 20 mile break-in done, I may have known that? Most likely not even then. I'm just use to running lights.

Well, the stocker was replaced with another oem for now. I swung by the dealership to see if he had received the pics of my dilemna. He started filling out the warranty work order and found out they had the exact signal I needed in stock. Sweet! No waiting around for backordered parts from Kaw. It was on and I was riding within 15 minutes.

Thanks for the plug.

The New Rizoma signals are by far the brightest we've ever seen - a Single 6 volt LED that cast LOTS of light.. They do have the converter box that has to be mounted out of site, but they are well worth it!

Complaint filed with NHTSA. Maybe Kaw will start honoring these as a verfied manufacturer's defect and not pushing it back on the dealer.
