I have a couple of models in mind, but I'm still mulling the finer points of the next leg of my two-wheeled journey.

Will it be light, powerful and multi-faceted, or will I lean more towards distance, comfort and speed?

Ridge, I may be following your lead and Jet's lead shortly. I just don't have the time to ride. Really don't have many around me that use to ride that still ride. Seriously missing track days, but more time constraints.

I went from being an enthusiast to a "collector". Frankly, quite sad.

Good luck on the sale and if you every get a hankering to ride ... let me know.

How about a Gold Wing or ST with a modifided bike rack on it for the mtn bike?

No, I am set in that department. It will have two wheels and some type of engine. Right now it is a toss up between another thumper, or a v-twin.

Nope, SV was parted out after my gopher hunting expedition last year at VIR. All that remains is a frame.

The wife's new Savage is kind of fun...if you're looking for cheap thumping. With a jet kit and a sportster exhaust, you can scoot about pretty well without even coming close to breaking the bank. Does 70 well, but prefers 50 From one ex-KLR owner to one (hopefully) future KLR owner, I salute you!

I thought about it and may still entertain the right deal for a resto project, but I need something to ride in the interim.

No, it will not ever be a 919. (I know some of y'all are thinking it, so we'll just go ahead and clear that one off the table)

Triumph, Yamaha and Buell are the leading contenders right now. I have owned 1 Aprilia, 2 Hondas, 2 Suzukis, 1 Kawasaki and 1 Yamaha.

Think you'll keep the next bike more than a year?

I still have that 69' Kawi enduro that needs resto. All you have to do is come pick it up!

Good eye.

The first is the WR250R. Small, nimble, powerful, fuel injected and easily converted to supermoto.

Next is the Triumph Scrambler in flat black. Just looks like a hoot. I really want to test ride one.

Then of course is my secret obsession with the Buell Uly. I have always loved the design, just never liked big-bore bikes.

Same thing happened to me, bought the 2005 SV650, fixed up nice, at least to my liking, and I have probably put in 100 miles tops on it.

I know the excuse of heavy traffic is just an excuse but, I can no longer put up with it.

I'd go for the Scrambler, but as you might know, I'm horribly bias towards Triumph modern bikes. Although, after a second thought not sure if it fits your requirements.

Its kinda a novelty bikes.... like the uly.

The Buel Uly for solo! Very innovative: rim-disk brake and low CG fuel tank. I like its looks way better than their new "claw" cooling bikes.
