Looks like Carmichael, Pastrana, and I believe Chad Reed are all trying to step to NASCAR.

Pastrana is real deep into Rally Cars, just won a National championship. Don't expect him in Nascar anytime soon. Kevin Windham has been doing some testing also.

If I was the greatest motocross rider of all time I would hang around & be the best at that & continue to boost my numbers, not bail when I am still the best (maybe not the fastest but most consistant & still faster than all the riders in the world but 1).

I am bummed he is switching I view it as a demotion. Whats the draw other than $$$$?

I'll further my rant...I hate these SX only contracts.....RACE! You didn't grow up racing supercross---you grew up racing MX! Just because its physically more demanding & there is less bling factor doesn't mean you quit. Another reason why I will miss RC--he was man enough to ride motos, not mains. What happens when Stewart goes 4 wheelin? Will they still race the outdoors or will it be just amateur races? End rant.

Considering that RC makes around a reported 8 million/year with contracts, endorsements, etc., believe me its not for the money, becasue there is no way he will even come close to that starting out.

He wants to go out on top, even though he still can be for a few years to come. He has stated that he does not want the commitment, preasure, training schedule, etc that he has to do now to ride for championships and competing for a whole season.

I think it sucks also, he's been my favorite rider since he turned pro, considering I've raced against him as an amatuer and he grew up racing the same tracks as I did.

That, and the fact that pro MX races gives your body such a pounding. He's too old for that stuff. Leave it to the kids, like Bubba.

That said I won't be watching NASCAR, even if RC is behind the wheel.
