Potential Great Deal

I was approached by a coworker today about an unfortunate family occurence. Seams his brother is off to the clink for an extended stay. I did not really feal the need to know why so I did not ask. Any how the family is in the process of selling off his belongings. This includes his home and pretty much everything in it. According to my coworker he has a large orange enduro or trail style two stroker that must go. he is not very educated in motos so I was only able to get out of him some very simple details. It appears to have head and tail lights, with a number plate just above the headlight. He said it is very tall. He feels it is at least a 250cc possibly 500cc or bigger.

My first thaught was possibly a KTM EXC! I was hoping more of you could throw out some ideas as to what it might be. I will know more once I see pictures but it will not be until the weekend. The sweetest part of the deal is I can pick whatever it is up for $100.00!

I wouldn't worry about what it could be. Give him the $100 and take it off his hands. You can't go wrong, not matter what it is.

I will give him $101 for it. KTM would be nice for sure. Maybe he is wrong about the orange and it is more of a pinkish red making it the amazing CR500. One can only dream. Drop the cash and get a new toy.

Those kinds of deals don't come along very often, can't go wrong for $100 no matter what. We'll be awaiting an update and photos as soon as you go check it out.

Sounds like they sold the house to reimburse his lawyers...
and gave away the small stuff. Enjoy the windfall!

It may be a long while before he has the chance. I will just outrun him on his own bike!

Hmmm? Convict? Going up river? Selling everything on the cheap?

Did you think that there may be the slightest possibility that the bike and other stuff might not be "clean"? Just a thought?

I had a buddy buy a sled and later have it taken from him because it was a stolen sled.

Well, if it is stolen, ride it like you stole it and get your $100 worth!

Trust me, I questioned that right away. I guess the guy was pretty legit. Found it easier to make profit in cultivating his own crops (wink, wink). Tried to stay straight as could be to appear as normal. Someone he worked with sent him down river.

Actually I am starting to get a little POed. I keep on getting the push off due to some excuse or another. I am happy I made the guy sign an impromtu contract in case he decides to walk with my bill. The weather here has been kind of a factor, and it is located in the north woods making it an inconvenience to get to but, come on man. There is still time before the riding season here but I like to use the down time to be sure everything is up to par. I am keeping my fingers crossed that he comes through soon. You guys will be the first to know.
