Parts on Order....

As was witnessed by my cohorts in mud, I need a rear tire. Ordered.

As I have notice lately, the temps are falling on my morning commute (5:30 am), so for comfort, Bring on the heated Grips! Ordered.

Still to order...
Givi V46 (Jetblast, wanna group buy)
Touratech Crash Bars, Oil cooler gaurd, Radiator Gaurd, Sump Protector.

The GPS would tell you to ride North West to Xenia, OH on the 28th of this month and arrive by 5:00 PM to join in a weekend of racing, camping and drinking.

He did not crash!
I believe in the rules of motorcycle speak, a bike has to be moving forward for a crash to take place.

This is more of a tip-over. I do not believe in this particular case the crash bars would have helped. They would have sank right in the mud with everything else.

true! it would be like forgetting to put the kick stand down when riding the bike for the first time I've never done that though ...

Well, I got some good news at lunch. Since I returned the oversized Givi cases, and traded down to a smaller set. My dealer decided to give me a $300 store credit vs. returning the items on my credit card. So, my wish list just got a bit shorter.

As for the tip-over, it was exactly that. I was stepping out the rear while the front was going nowhere, and the best plan of action was to let the bike drop on its side rather than risk me going down with it while holding the throttle. The crash bars would have sunk in that wet red clay just as bad as everything else. They might have prevented the mirror from being tweaked, but that is about the extent of it. Better tires, and a net loss of about 250lbs would have helped more than anything.
