New KLR

Bought a '05 KLR650 the other day. Been really enjoying the D606s that came on it, the lake is mostly dry so I can tear it up around there. I don't have any pictures at the moment, I can't figure out how to get the camera working, I'll post some up when it starts working. It came with a few mods:
bark busters
SS brake lines
aluminum skid plate
rear brake master cylinder guard
rear sprocket guard
upgraded handle bar switch housing
radiator guard
dynojet kit
k&n air filter

The bike had very low miles, a problem I am very successfully combating .Next up will be a big brake kit and maybe some hard cases. I've been having a great time with the ability the current tires give it but the added vibration and howl made the decision easy. I've been planning a lot of trips in my head and maybe Ill take one of them in the next 2 1/2 weeks that I have off, how is Jackson, Wyoming this time of year?

Awesome choice of bike.

I was tempted by the idea of a KLR, but due to my constant road trips, the Tiger is more of what I want. Who knows, maybe one day I will head over to the more capable off road machine. We will see!

Enjoy it!

If this trend keeps up we will need a separate KLR sub. forum

Doohickey is stock but with only 700mi on the bike, I'm not too worried about it, I will most likely change it this winter. I got the camera to work so there's a picture included.

I put the stock tires back on this morning, the howl from the D606s was too much for me.

Where in Atlanta? I actually bought my XX at Laweranceville Honda on a WIM (no pun intended) and rode it back to MASS non-stop. 15 hours of pure break-in joy through the worst April rainstorms ever! Would to it all over again.
