Muahahahaha, it's all mine!

I signed the paperwork and rode her home yesterday. WOW what a difference between this and the RR. The Strom has very neutral steering, excellent wind protection, and I love the V-twin grunt! I can see many, many miles under my belt with this machine.

Suzuki calls this silver, I still haven't figured that one out yet.

71 miles in a day ain't bad.

Currently in the works. I have to contact my uber-secret sign lady to get some additions made. The RR has a pending sale, and it is currently on the dealership floor. From what I am hearing, someone comes in everyday trying to get financing on it. So it should go soon. all my track-day bits will be up for sale soon as well. I bought a new jacket, and a new helmet as well.

Well, here is the jacket I bought yesterday for warm weather.

And these are my gloves that I have been using for the last two years or so.

Congrats on the new bike mang. Haven't figured out the whole touring thing yet, but it will probably make sense someday soon.

Well, I gotta say that Suzuki wasn't lying about the 52mpg claim. I rode into work today, with 191 miles on the clock. I am still on my first tank of gas. If this were the RR, I would be almost to my third tank by now. The seat is definately more comfy than the RR, but it still needs improvement. Suzuki makes a gel seat for the V-Strom, I may look into that.

Every time you ride it, you will appreciate something new. At least that was the case for me.

Find a bicycle rack that will mount on the back of that thing and Dayrock will be first in line to buy a new bike.

Now were talking. Saw a guy on a 1200GS, down at the beach, with his road bike hanging off the back. Tried to chase him down in my car but those BMW's are too fast...hahaha.

Mikey, was just up with Brian getting my tires changed and they have your tiger in black at D&D. And I also got rambling again on the S3. Brian said he's looking to sell the demo already... Rut, Roo!

Thread Jack over... Nice BIKE!

I really want to (sp: V-twin ) But I am technically still in the "break-in" period. All bets are off after that first oil change.

Well, after 450 miles, and two tanks of gas, I am having a blast on this machine. It got 46mpg on the first tank, and 42mpg on the second. (prob. due to my overly active right wrist ) I am still edging out my limits on the bike. The only real learning curve for me is getting used to the road tires vs. sport tires. When I blip the throttle on these, they will chirp. It puts a grin on me, but I don't know how confident they will make me in a turn up in the NC mtns. This is the first time I have ever ridden on Bridgestones though, and I may start looking at other alternatives. I get all kinds of looks from people, mostly because you just don't see any Stroms on the road (esp. where I live) Around here, it is either stretched, chromed squid-bike or blinged out Hardleys.

Thanks. I'm up to 650 miles, and my first service is done. I've ordered a top case from Givi, but no side cases yet. I'm working with a local upholstery shop to make me a custom seat for waaaay less than a Corbin or Sargent. I need to mount my GPS, install a powerlet, and get my lazy ass up to the mountains here. (foothills to you'uns out west)

It's a Garmin Etrex legend. Nothing fancy, but it gets me from A-B. I would love to have that new Garmin Zumo, but I don't have an extra $1,000 laying around.

Keep in mind, that you have to buy the mapping software to get roads and navigation features. That adds $140 or so.
