Mini-Moto

So...are many of you guys into Mini-motard/flat-track/moto stuff?

I've got a bunch of friends that race all over the north east, go cart tracks, mini-motard tracks, Moto-x tracks. I'm thinking of selling all the vintage stuff and getting a CRF150, something like that. Already sold one of the vintage race bikes.

At face value, I think vintage racing is pretty cool, cooler than miin moto. But I can't speak to which might give you the biggest grin factor. Is there anything in your collection that might be an easy conversion to a good street legal cafe racer?

I've got a CRF150 for sale. It's in the classifieds. I need to get off my ahole and really try to sell the thing. Fun little bikes.

JB - You have a PM!

I will 2nd that on anything that could be a street machine - but if I recall correctly your stuff was in the smaller CC range and on the street might not be capable of wringing up to the needed rpm's?

But what do you all have to sell? I may be interested.

a suggestion would be do the Cornerspin school and see what you think. Many of those skills apply directly to supermoto and flat tracking. Plus it's a great time and you use their bike.

And you get acquainted with North Carolina red clay quite well.

My advice is to get into a stretching regimen now if you plan for this one. And find the best chiropracter you can afford.

Yeah I'm going to be "racing" against some younger guys....but probably will stick to backyard stuff. I'm just too far from my home RR track and it's getting to be a pain in the butt. Been doing it for ten years, had a lot of fun, but the "team" has gotten so big that it's consuming too much of my time, money and space.

By the way, the race bikes would not be suitable for street use, 200cc, very highly tuned, life span of probably 20 hours on the track between rebuilds...think 1967 four stroke RS125 (not that there ever was such a thing). Sounds like a little motogp bike when it's spinning 12,000 rpm.

Figured I'd stop in to WT and see what the Karma was feeling like these days.

I like the looks of that Cornerspin school. Just the kind of riding I want to do. Not exactly flat track, not Motard....kind of like dirt pavement on universal tread tires.
I'm too old for too many jumps and bumps

I'm going to Mini-SuperMoto my 150 one of these days. Got me some Dunlop 501's and an EBC oversized rotor and SS front breakeline so I can do my best Jeff Ward impersonation.
