All you need is one extra set of wheels to go from one to another.

DualSport? It's Michigan plated and has a 6-speed trans.

The big question is......should it be on the road? Heeeellllll no!

Just keep up with its maintenance, KTM is not famous for its reliability. I think 450s have a lot of issues with valve guides.

Getting ready to tear her down this winter....new rings, valve seals -- and hope to inspect the head closely.....

If you ask me.... the RFS motors are pretty tough. The bike is a 2004, and this is the first rebuild as far as I know. Can't wait to see what extra power is lurking in there from the loss of compression.

Do the leak down test before and after. Go with viton seals why you there. That's what I used when doing big bore and upgrading valves on my thumper

Ok, should probably start a new thread for this, but I'm sure these videos will keep this thread going for a while.

My next dirtbike / supermoto. V-twin, Fuel-injected, electric start, 70hp at the crank (for the 550, they have a 450 as well, which is agreed is the more reliable motor. But still, see below):

Reading up on them, they have a terrible reputation for having bad engine sealant and getting water in the engine.

Truly a 'racing' and very temperamental engine, but those that have learned the tweaks have gotten many miles and smiles out of them.
