Diesel KLR

I was browing through an old motorcycle magazine today and ran across an article about the military diesel KLR650. The company that makes them for the US military, Hayes Diversified Technologies, plans to eventually market a civilian version, but their website says production is currently delayed.

How cool would that be? You've all heard me rave about my love of VW TDI's, adding a diesel bike to the garage that gets 100mpg would be awesome!

HDT's website: http://www.hdtusa.com/models.htm

Here's a couple reviews of the military version, sounds like one tough machine...

I want one!

Yep, very nice machine. Unfortunately, production of the diesel KLR has been "currently delayed" for over 10 years.
