Cant believe there isnt more dirt riders here

We are die hard motocrossers and dont miss a weekend of racing around here.
Currently my little guy is 5 points out of the lead in a series we run up here and I'm in a solid 2nd in the 40+ class. 1 more series race to go for us and my son might just pull out the class win.Gonna be tough for me but you never know.

There's more than a few dirty bastards here.

Trail riders and MXers alike.

I'm a Jersey State Forest (no I'm not kidding, NJ has a huge preserve) guy myself........Mostly just fire roads and quad trails these days.

I gave up the single track stuff and jumping and stuff because a few years ago I decided to give up contact sports......and those Jersey pines don't have alot of "give" to 'em.

Anyway, dirty bastards chime in.

hey that's outstanding! congratulations to you and your son.
I don't race them but get out on a CRF150F whenever I can. If you guys can swing it we're having our annual member gathering in Tampa this November and we'll have a dirttrack (sort of) and a whole bunch of people on everything from 50s - 230s.

That's some good stuff. Congrats!!!

I think there is a fair share of us here that started in dirt and many that are still involved.

97af, I must comment on the tube socks and Krocs? Dude, no one has worn their socks that high since my 6 grade gym call back in 1970 something!

I'm not dirty, I just have an aversion to soap and water in the same place. It's a long story.

Thanks! Yea...I guess I look a little dorky but the boots and knee brace sure take their toll on the skin without them. That shot was immediatly after my last moto. The boy couldnt wait any longer to get his trophy.I'm usually wearing next to nothin' with the bikes already loaded in the trailer, driving by the trophy hut on the way out picking mine up.....

Raced in the dirt(MX, Cross Country, and Hare Scrambles) for quite a few years but that is all in the past, got the family into playing in the dirt but right now the only dirt bike in the stable is the kids PW50. I'll get back out there sometime in the not too distant future but not as a racer just a play time thing.

I've got a 1984 Yamaha YTM 225DX three wheeler that I love to blast around on. We've got a park called St. Joe State Park that is only about an hour away from St. Louis, and it's got lots of sand, some good mud, and a kick a** perimeter trail that surrounds the entire place. I go places on that three wheeler that a lot of guys on dirt bikes can't believe. It's a hill climbin' sob!

Congrats to your little guy!
I dual-sport a bit on a 520exc and have finished a few enduros but don't have time to go regularly.
gdjam is right - we've got some good trails here but nothing like the dualsport ride I did in central PA a few months ago. It was offroad bliss!
