Don't know much about the x-country. I test rode the x-challenge and had a blast. Same engine in the country, just tuned differently I believe.

Nice and clean thumper. For your maximum enjoyment hope someone figures out how to lower its 33" standover (+2" over 9er).

The seat on the X-Challenge looked unbelievably painful.

I know we are comparing apples and oranges here but-
919 31.5 height, 427 lbs.
650 33.1 height, 326 lbs.
I'm 5'9" and had no trouble with the height. The bike feels small.

i.m pretty sure its the same not sure that is what the stealer is spewing

either way that country is nice and if it runs as well as the challenge i say sell the 599 and buy it cause it totally felt sweet when i threw a leg over and i drove the challenge and what a blast it was!!!

That's amazing -100lb makes it feel small! Wonder about their R1200GS...unfortunately weight was omitted from the spec sheet...
