why go to a 16" front? you doing something way cool to this bike? minisupermoto?

did you change anything else when swapping springs? Are you sure you got the correct springs, compare them to the originals when you had them removed?

mini supermoto is the plan, as it's every friday night at Moroso on the go-cart track for $25 4 hours all u can ride... from what i have read on supermotojunkie.com the bridgestone BT-045 on the 16" wheels is the way to go, unless u have mad $$ to spend on excel 17" wheels

i'll take some pix of the springs side by side, but the BBR's are prolly 1/2 inch longer, and def. thinker guage steel...

excellent - please post some pictures of the finished product. Excited to see it come together for you.

If they're the right springs I can think of no reason it'd be bottoming out. Seals in tact? not blowing oil everywhere on compression? very odd. Mine were noticeably stiffer just riding down the street. I did add a bit of oil but only a couple millimeters per leg.

You should change the oil out to a 15W as well. It works in perfect combination with the new stiffer springs. Greatly enhanced the fedback from the 125. I plan on racing SEMRA with it next year. New SM wheels-n-tires are $356 mounted for 17" front and rear.

BBR springs vs. stock

also i stripped and repainted the forks, polished the fork tubes, and painted the lower triple

drained the fork oil... don't think it's supposted to look like this... will replace with 15w

there was exactly the same amount in each fork tube, so... they are either leaking evenly, or not leaking at all....
