Acerbis Rally Pro handguards...

will protect the components of a 2008 KLR in the event of a fall on concrete from the height of an MX stand. Just so everyone knows...

Borrowed an mx stand to put the KLR on while I had the tires changed. The stand folded down on itself the first time I put it up there, so I was worried from square one. I reversed the stand to position the weight better and strapped it down to prevent foding again. Got the tires changed the next day and remounted them. No sooner did I get them mounted and released the strap; BAM! It folds in again and the KLR goes down on it's right side. No damage except for part of the Acerbis name rubbed off the guards and a bent license plate. Thank God I finally got them installed.

I had to heat the tires up to break the bead, yeah, that's it.

Not a bmx stand, the culprit is a motorsport x-stand. Do not put anything more than a 125 or 150 on it if you value your goods.
