I'm 20 and I'm new to this motorcycle thing. This is my first purchase. I still need to add some mirrors, a low beam, and a horn to pass inspection. What do you guys think? Any ways to get around this inspection stuff in Virginia?

Not a bad looking bike, but the high bars (Are they tall enough to call ape hangers?) would drive me nuts!

I'm not sure how to get around the headlight (or why you'd want to!), but the last time I did my inspection the guy forgot to even check the horn. I reminded him only because I like hitting the horn on my bike since I installed a Stebel Nautilus.

You could get some drop bar-end mirrors that'd put them close to eye level if the bars are too high. I've ridden with one mirror (when I bought mine it only had one), but I'd recommend getting two on there to help expand your field of view.

Thanks!

It's got 14 inch apes, so it's not too high.

Its got a full time high beam on it and the left hand control is no where to be found (I ordered it, should be in soon) so I'll just need to wire it and put it on. It also doesn't have turn signals, but I'm not too concerned about that. I may put those on as I get farther in the project.

My wife and I looked at a Valkyrie a while back with ape hangers on it. It looked goofy as hell, but man was it comfortable... Forward controls, ape hangers and a backrest. I felt like I was in a recliner. Thought I was going to have to wipe off the seat after the wife rode it.
