Rider down

I'm at work and I get that phone call nobody wants. Lady friend went down on her Magna. She was going around a corner and the back end stepped out, bike high sided and slid into a curb. She was wearing (most) of her gear so she is fine. A few strawberries on her left leg and a swollen ankle, but otherwise fine.

I haven't had a chance to look at the bike too much... but the frame and fender are rashed a bit... tank however looks untouched.... odd... I'll have to look and see if the forks and/or bars are bent.

I just need to vent.

Hope she heals up and rides again. Sounds like she chopped the throttle after the rear stepped out. Another reminder to just ride it out when the unexpected happens.

UPDATE: My lady is healing up fine. Swelling in the ankle has finally gone down and the bruising is really starting to show. If you looked at her leg, you would think she was part smurf. Give it another week or so and she should be back at 100%.

If she had been wearing a pair of riding boots, she probably would have walked away without a scratch. If she had NOT been wearing her helmet and riding jacket, this update may not have been so positive. ATGATT

Thanks for the kind words everyone.
