new 2013 triumph trophy

All right, hash it out. What are your thoughts (in context of touring cycles)? They got another winner or is it doa?

Ready? Go!

I may not have a lot to say but it doesn't mean I don't listen.

If I was in the market for something even a little bit like this, I'd be much more inclined to go for the 3-cyl 800...

Just get a kawasaki concours 14. A co-worker has one with a pipe and pc3, it pulls like a fucking freight train.
- better numbers hp&tq
- more tested and reliable
- cheaper

I'd like to see hard numbers on the value of those dynamic bags. Uzwise it's a bs gimmick to me.

I like the looks, and it's farkled to hell already, but that comes with a price. My second concern.

Do not underestimate that triple. 4 triumphs sold in a week at my local dealer, one was the new 1200 tiger.

I think it's positioned correctly. But did they have to steal from the fjr's lines?

Based on the article only.....8/10

I bet I'd love that engine, but the headlight treatment misses the mark for me. Overall, I'm not in the market for such a bike, so my opinion doesn't count for much.

I call 'tard on this one. Major 'tard at that.

The bike is more than power equipped for any road including the autobahn.

yeah it might only be 132hp.... but it probably produces more avg hp over the usable rpm range compared to an inline 4.

I must say i like it very bmw r1200rt .... and my dad has the r1200rt (older 2 valve design) and it pulls real good, wheelie in first with a lil clutch no problem.

that said anyone know the weight of this triumph... and whats the price on it?

No idea on weight, but I'm sure with a 6.6 gal gas tank its slightly heavier than I'm used to.

As far as price, it will be more spendy than the st, but less than their top tier rocket cruiser I bet.

Which...is no where in my current budget. Funny, when I shop there's a budget. When my wide shops, there's no budget.

I need a garage so I can claim my own budget for where I will likely end ip sleeping.

I may not have a lot to say but it doesn't mean I don't listen.

Or a really low budget 80s flick of a future world motorcycle. Ugh.

My goal is simple. It is a complete understanding of the universe, why it is as it is and why it exists at all.
