I saw a CTX700 without the fairings and bags at my local Honda Powersports about a week ago. The styling puts me in mind of the 9er, but set up for crusing. If I had the means to add another bike to the stable I believe the CTX1300 (without the fairing) would be it.

It will be hard to get "cruiser riders" onto one of those in the states. Maybe older aged new riders though. Older folks that want to get into riding, but think the Goldwing is too big

Honda is boring me with these new bikes........

Seems so.

They could do so many things to get people to part with their hard earned hard saved dollars.

I look at the Xlr 65o as a prime example!

what saddens me is they still make the xr650l but not the r. the R was in a class of it's own and ruling that class and they canned it. Should have updated it to be street legal from the factory. And don't even tell me the 450x replaced it the 450 is a great bike in it's own right but not the do all the 650 was.

Common sense. So rare it's a god damn super power.

HEY HEY HEY honda is not totally boring..... look at the new cbr1000rr its a whole new bike.... they removed the passanger seat. hahaha well and a few other less note worthy changes like brembo brakes, hanging off ohlins front and rear. cams pistons, sub frame its all new. for just 3K more than the base cbr. yea no abs or traction control on the cbr 1000rr sp but hell who needs that anyways.

though the ctx 1300 does have abs and traction control(on the deluxe model) so its finding its way onto the hondas but only on the slowwer less powerfull models.

i do have missed feelings on the ctx but i will wait to pass judgement untill i see it in person

Yeah, me too, I'd like to size up a black one.

However, in my part of the world they'll be asking $ridiculous amount$ for them out of the showroom, so that'll disqualify me straightaway.

I'm in the I want to see one in person camp. The front end does look a little funky, maybe because it resembles the DN-01. The blue looks pretty good.

Saw a CTX-1300 in the dealer today. Sat on it and it wasn't bad. It felt pretty heavy taking it off the kick stand. Handlebars had a lot of pullback and left my arms in a pretty comfortable position. Foot pegs weren't as far forward as I thought (less than a cruiser). It was packed in between a CTX-700 and a Goldwing F6B so couldn't get that great of an overall look at it, but it looked a lot like the F6B with less fairings. I'd still like to ride one, but the price $17K MSRP (for that one) ain't gonna happen.

If they would remove the body work, maybe change 80% of the bike, I'd be all over it.

OK, that might be too harsh.

65%

I could like 35% of it as it sits....

Yeah sat on one as well. Super fat bike, also super comfortable seeming. The wife was almost sold on it but if you're going to consider that bike, why not drop 2k more and get the amazing F6B/goldwing. It is fairly sharp looking but Hondas need an update in the looks dept.
