Apes on a Roadstar

What size apes would you put in a roadstar? I don't want to go to big but I want it to have some style as well.

Welcome man. Why not give a little background on yourself first? It's hard to say what size is best for you. It's a very personal thing. If thats you in your avatar pick. I'd say start with 10" maybe 12" if you're tall and see how you like 'em.

If you've never ridden with apes before keep in mind it's a completely different animal. Steering is a new concept and you WILL need practice turning. I put 12" apes on my XS650 chop and loved em but I did need a lot of practice turning.

Well I've been riding since I was about 13, had my fill of pavement, and I've ridden just about anything you can think of for the modern bike. Yea I am 6'2" I was thinking 12" this away it will compliment the bike and not make it look goofy as hell. If I remember correctly, it's been awhile, the guy who taught me to ride was old school and he had a old custom chopper, that's why I lean a whole lot. More lean and less turn because of the awkwardness of the apes, unlike your stock bars.
