Norton Sighting

Coming home on the freeway tonight I was passed by a guy on a silver Norton. Cool bike, didn't get a great look at it and not sure if it was vintage or one of those new ones. Guy obviously had a death wish, it was raining, he was wearing a hawaiin shirt, shorts and sandals, at least he had a helmet but there he was in the fast lane on I-70 at rush hour.

It had two low exhaust pipes which tapered down to small outlets. Smallish tank and cowl, skinny tires. Anyone have an idea what it might have been?

Did it look similar to this one? Highly doubt it was a new 961 Commando. The bike never made it into production.

It did look very similar to that, same exhausts and body styling, just no fairing.
