Another Retro Rebuild

All I need is an afro and a fringed vest.
1974 DT-250, all original. Only missing 1 side cover. Gas tank is clean, ran it around the yard a few times.

We found this one parked on the side of a country road. Seriously. Farmer said it quit running and sold it to us for a couple hundred bucks. Cleaned the spark plug and Voila!
Of course, that is just the beginning. Ask me in a year what we spent on it.

My dad bought one of those new in blue. Exact same year and everything. Riding that around made me appreciate my DRZ400 a lot more. The yamaha had almost no suspension travel and the tires gripped like crayons.

You didn't happen to be at Road Atlanta this past weekend did you? Only reason I ask is that I was nearly made into a grease spot on the road by a DT on Saturday. Same color and everything.

Yeah, that was me. I was waiting for you.
Actually, my neighbors are paying me to cruise the neighborhood and provide mosquito control.

Kristen's Home for Abused Cycles

You know how there is always a house in the neighborhood where abandoned kittens get dumped. That is turning into my house.
Found this on the doorstep this morning.

I know a lot of you aren't into scoots but this is a cool ride. 1981 Passport 70
It will be perfect for my daughter to ride to high school on.

Is that a Honda 50 in the background???
That was my 2nd bike and the source of my first concussion when the front wheel went into a groundhog hole at full speed.
