Wow!!!!

This guy just ran 217 at the Maxton Mile. Running there is a dream of mine, but realizing that dream (from over here in Washington with 4 kids in HS then college) just isn't too likely.

Here is the link that has questions and answers and a picture:

Picture didn't load, don't know why, Sorry....

I was at the Texas mile driving a friends 2006 viper coupe. It was a blast he did a best run of 187mph. There was a turbo 'busa that went 254mph and set the new track record. Thats starting form a stop and running a mile. The speed trap is the last 132' and then you have a half mile to slow down and make a right hand turn. It is fun and we are going back in October hopefully the viper will be supercharged and I may take the 919 for grins.

The turbo Busa's dominate. The fact that you can get 250-350 HP without breaking open the engine, and it will last a long time at that level, makes for great fun. There are turbo Busa's running 600-700 HP, but it appears most of the race machines are at much lower levels, given it is hard to put the HP to the ground. That ZX10, though, might be the fastest literbike in the world at the moment. And, to me, it looks pretty cool!!!

Your right the ZX10 is cool. At the Texas mile I saw an unbelieveable amount of cool stuff. Ford GTs, Lambos, Bugattis, Porshe GT1s, Bikes of all types and years, and amost everything was hopped-up to some extent. Lots of vechicles over 200mph. It was a blast to be there and running with them. Just talking to folks in the stageing lanes was cool.
