While you all were working...

Took a little trip this last Friday to get out and feed the 'random ride' bug as of late. Went all over north eastern Kentucky past Frankfort on 421, hit 22 east, 313 south (fucking fantastic road) and some back country roads which are paved flawlessly. Did some shenanigans for the camera and your enjoyment while out and about. I was trying to show a little behind the scenes of what goes into making a video and that yep, it's just me out there. Setting up the camera, riding by, coming back to pick it up, reset it for another angle, ride away, and coming back to retrieve it all does take a bit of time.

All in the good spirit of me being out riding and having fun while the rest of normal society is working on a Friday wishing it was the weekend.

Soundtrack artist: Explosions in the Sky. Song: First Breath After Coma
They make for some great soundtrack music.

Enjoy!

lol Yeah but the camera is just fine, just a scrape on the case. I tried turning it 'upside-down' to get even closer to the road with it mounted on my crank-case....yeah.....just a little too close.

Thanks, I'm just out there having fun and trying to make something a bit interesting to watch. I think I will have to start adding more shenanigans to my videos from now on....a bit of comic relief.

OMG you are driving WAYY TO FAST SQUID!!! lol. jkjk

I do like how you sped the video up. Much better to watch a 1 hour ride in 10 min than it is to watch 1 hour of it. lol

No, just the first edition GoPro Motorsports HD Hero. I'm contemplating picking up the Hero2 as well. Editing software is Cyberlink PowerDirector 9. It's alright.

Great video. It was especially interesting to see how much the front suspension works even on normal roads. I had no idea it moved up and down that much.

Props alone for using Explosions in the Sky. Good riding music. You may also enjoy Pelican if you ever need some instrumetal sounds.

I don't know what kind of signals they are, they were on the bike when I bought it. The are nice and discreet and I like the look, but the rear signals are awfully hard to see in daylight. I will try and remember to take pics of the different ways I mount the camera to my bike here shortly.
