Which windscreen looks best on 919?

What windscreens look good on the 919? I am also thinking about picking up one of those lower fairings too. and Some lower renthal bars.

I agree that none looks the best, but other than that I feel like the stock one looks like it belongs.

None looks the best but I picked up a national cycle F16 touring (the taller one) and I feel it looks good enough that I won't take it off the bike anytime soon. The mounting hardware kinda sticks out like sore thumb if you know its there.

Couldn't beat the price.

F-16 sport on mine for normal rides. Not so much for any wind protection rather keeps most bugs out of small nooks up front. I am currently searching for the best light touring screen. Plexifairing GT is a "nogo". Looks like crap and clamps are cheap. If anyone has any experience with the "Memphis shades Bladerunner" please post thoughts.

Your question is highly subjective but of all the windscreens I have seen so far, there are only 4 I would use:

None (Free)
OEM
RoadRacing Italy (Discontinued)
Chic Design Road Comet 2

as to looks, I'm partial to the Buell M2 flyscreen...it doesn't have much function however.

Well, fire the engines! Spur this iron space-pony on!

OEM all the way, small footprint on the bike and tons of wind protection. I painted the back with flat black paint to get a gloss black front finish, looks 100 times better than the rose color it is out of the box.

Yeah - just WTF was with that gay rose colour Honda?

Really!

Stock and Buell M2 are the 'best' looking screens.

Minds naked so I cannot comment on function with one.

I have this screen, cut the triangle mounting bracket into an L shape, (this will allow the original bracket to show, and the L shape hidden by the fairing), then spray it black, problem solved,
Could post a pic but i am a lazy sob

If you do get a chance to grab a picture that would be awesome. I'd consider modifying those brackets in a heard beat.

I agree with Zaq123, after all it is a NAKED bike.
However, I felt theneed for something, especially on longer trips. I tried the National Cycle F16 & F18 and di dnot like either one, then tried one I got froma memeber here that is like the Buell M2 and ended up with the OEM one which I like best for functionality and looks. It is lightly smoked and I left it that way as it is not obtrusive looking and still allows you to see the guages, etc. for that "naked" look.

Four wheels move the body ... two wheels move the soul.

Looks great! Where do I go to buy one, as well as the mounting hardware?

It comes down to either this one or the Buell flyscreen. Both look really good IMO, but I don't know which one provides better wind protection...not to mention which one is less expensive.

Ideas anyone?

+1. I'd rather not have a screen, but I am getting beat up by the wind in Kansas. Plus you have to get on the slab to get anywhere fun.

I like the F16 and the stocker (especially painted black, nice touch), but need at least a little wind protection. Any feedback?

You can make your own pretty easily with some flat stock from the hardware store....there was even a template in a thread somewhere....but for the life of me I can't find it for ya today, hopefully someone else can find it...

It's only like 2 bends and one hole to drill

I agree with zak123. I like mine w/o, but frikjmaser's screen looks great. If I were to add a screen that would be the way I would go.

I mounted the Givi a240a om my 03, looks great and keeps the air off of my chest, but it sure does make my Arai helmet noisier...

So, is the OEM one available anywhere?

I saw a thread from last year where Mason City Iowa Honda dealer was selling them for $68 shipped; I just submitted the order... but then it came back as discontinued.

That is sharp. Givi doesn't sell that screen in that color, does it? How well were they able to color match the paint?

Thank you. I haven't seen anyone selling a screen that matched that color. It wasn't hard at all to match the color. I thought it might be a problem. Turned out to be pretty easy.

you can color match the paint easily by looking on your bike (tends to be a sticker either under the tank or seat on the frame somewhere) to get the color code. it is manufactur specific so you can go to any body shop and order the paint. often times you can find the paint online as well if you intend to spray it yourself.

I have put my OEM screen on once for 1 day then taken it off. I have placed it on the bike sevrela times after that, t ook a few steps back, but just can't get myself to put it on. The "sideburns" makes it look naff.

The windscreen looks good ( after scrolling my monitor 1700 pixels.)

The mounting hex-head bolt does not look so good.

Sorry about the big pics, will re do them later smaller. Yes the mounting bracket looks crappy which is a shame as the rest of it is nicely made.

Here you go, dilema now is I prefer the naked look without the screen but after a ride out to try it, it really works and deflects lost of wind making high speeds easy without buffetting from the wind.

Where did you get the PUIG, and how much, if you don't mind me asking? I searched several sites and don't see the 919 listed, then again, it could be a NON-US thing.

I have ordered a new Givi after a couple years with the National Cycye one. The F-16 would press on, or interfere with teh headlight no matter how much fiddled with it.
