What do ya think of the new SV650 aka Gladius

I think it looks sorta like the monster 696. I wonder if its only for Europe?

NICE...

Great paint scheme with the matching frame

Even the stock pipe doesn't look 1/2 bad

I like the basic style, but I'm not big on a couple things. First, really don't like that paint scheme, but I'm kind of stuck on black bikes right now. Second, like most bikes these days, it's in need of a fender eliminator, not a big problem there. Third, the stroke victim looking headlights are getting old to me. They just look bad. Stick with the big fat round headlight or steal from Triumph and go for a double 4" set so I don't have to figure out how to make it work once I get it.

I'm a fan of the black, but surprisingly I'm starting to like the yellow one as well. Just enough color to make it a little more noticable, but not obnoxious. The reddish one just doesn't hit the mark for me.

Of course, that all being said, not sure if I could get used to the engine on these. I rode my friend's recently aquired 2003 SV650 and my 919 is definitely a lot smoother feeling.

I'm intrigued - not sure I'd go down in size past the 9ner now. I do like the looks of her, but I think I'd go back to Ducati if I were ever to lose my baby.

Its a new model. But a bit porky for my liking for a 650 at 205kg dry.

With a name like Gladius, I'm putting my money on overseas only. I think it's kinda cool.

Looks alright but that Name- All I got to say is that Suzuki really limited the sales of that bike with the name Gladius, must be a niche market they're trying to hit.
Should sale well in places like, Key West, New Orleans, and San Fran, or the Island of Lesbos. They'd really snap a Gladius up if they came in the colors, Pink Panther and Chartreuse.

I agree the headlight pointing up is bizarre looking. The front brake line routing is strange. It looks like a single line to stacked banjos on the right side, then a line leading to the left over the fender. Am I seeing that right?
