got ambitious and fixed some cracks in the cowl and a dent on the gas tank. Now I need to decide what color to paint it. Ideas?

I'm thinking high gloss black with some lightly metallic gold detail lines in it.

Several years ago, my friend had an FZ1 with a Dale Walker of Yoshi can, I can't remember which. He didn't rejet the bike. He and I did several roll-ons, me with my Sato/PC-ed 919 vs his noisey unjetted FZ. Both stock gearing. The 919 walked away. Posted that on the FZ1 site. Shit storm of biblical proportions. If my dumbass friend would have rejetted his FZ, it'd have left the 919 for dead, but he didn't.

The above pink 919 was made up by one of the FZ gang.

Boy that was fun.

White. Saw a white one here in Dallas and it looked great. Plus, white's more forgiving of imperfections. Black will show every mistake.

+1 on the white.

With black stripes or wings.

And, like Jay said, white hides all imperfections! Looks clean even when dirty.

How about a metallic dark silver/charcoal/gunmetal gray? Always been one of my favorite color schemes on most any vehicle.

I photoshopped mine into a very similar color. Was going to post the pic but that bike actually is that color. Looks awesome. Especially with all the detail work like the polished cans, wheels and engine covers

i've always like black. some say it's overdone. if you were like me, and i know I am, you'd choose for yourself. personal satisfaction is the main idea.

(unless you wanna be faster and more [email protected]$$, then you have to chose black)
