What am I missing???

Hello,

I picked up my 919 on Friday, and it has a Staintune exhaust, a PCIII, and a Rizoma bar. I have ordered new front blinkers, sliders (possibly two, since the first ones use the engine bolt), rear blinker eliminator, a Givi 240, and brake lines. I'm also looking at Pazzo's and a seat rebuild. Anything else that I should be looking at???? The second ride went way better than the first ride, once I figured out that the tire pressure was about 27 and the suspension was all soft............ The second ride actually really impressed me, the 919 transitions way faster side-to-side than my 10 and has great low rpm power.

Thanks for your help, Steve

Any interest in suspension mods.? Race-Tech gold valve kit(s) with springs up front. LE shock rebuild, Ohlins, or Penske out back.

I'm going to think about that once the other stuff is all done and I have new tires on my bike. I'm thinking about Pirelli Rosso's, since I have had such good luck with DCIII's.

How about a set of these beauties Steve? If nothing else, they improve the shifting.

I think I'm older than both of you so, "I'm the real Steve"

I heard someone shout in a very cool Eminem lyric "would the real Steve, Please stand up - please stand up?" Well I stood up and didn't see any of you other false Steve's Stand up!!!

You got to quit putting pics of your rear sets on here Mike. I can't afford to buy more stuff!

Probably, because you are really, really old.......

And, the real Steve wouldn't whine about a few bucks......

Maybe we could number off, I'm willing to let you be Steve 1.

Later, Steve 7

Meanwhile back to bikes....

Sounds like you already have a prettyly nice set-up 919. Congrats. I have mine set up very closly to your's. I also have a 929. And yes the 919 doesn't need to be "Man Handled" like an RR type does. There were guys coming off of bikes like the RC51 onto 919s and swore that the 919 had a flexy frame. I never bought into all that. I think they were used to wrestling an RR type bike around, and when they rode the 919 like an RC51, it reacted alot more and quicker into small inputs than they were used to. I think the suspention work I have done to my 04 was worth it.

Steve (7), did you get your bike at I-90 Motorsports? The mods you listed on your bike are exactly like one I was inquiring about a month or so ago.
Glad you're liking the bike! You have some nice mods in the works!

I'm currently in the doghouse......... but, sometimes it is worth it. I wish Vortex made rearsets for the 919, because they are reasonably priced and work great.
