You're a bastard. I had my title in hand, ready to sign it over to anyone for cash towards that thing.

My goal is simple. It is a complete understanding of the universe, why it is as it is and why it exists at all.

Is it just me or are more people these days doing this to their sportbikes? Maybe the naked thing is finally picking up speed in the US.

.. it's about time.

Talking Sorry Guys . . . I had to do it (fool you)

At least fool you for a few seconds!!

But like most or all of you, I'd be all over this bike. My laid down riding on race bike replicas is over. But fairingless upright riding with sportbike power and handling, ahem, is IT for me now.

Pretty untidy cable, linkage and hose routing, I think Mr Honda would do a better job .

the guy that built that bike questioned the whole effort because in the end the sportbike engine bias defeated the streetbike ergos...if pickled memory serves

where's the pic of that naked rc-51 coming out next year??!?!

ah, naked w/ ballz....

gotta be pretty secure in your masculinity to say you like that

i think they all make it styling-wise...i dig naked bikes and projects, time in the garage tinkering is better than zen...

dropped bags a few hours ago, slapped on the newly re-skinned rear tire and went for a ride....running 15/45's w/ a flowing exhaust + pc3b and all i thought about were gear ratios that were a little bit tight and target rpm's at a couple cruising points (60mph 85mph) that seemed a several hundred rpm too high...then i slipped the clutch a little in 2nd gear, cast my eyes skyward and forgot everything w/ a smile...of course then lightning filled the skies and rain dumped down on me like Noah

5yr old rashed gixxers and busas....ah man, what fun for the buck ratios ...it's a good time to be riding!

Disagree. The exhaust is what sells it for me. I love the exhaust that comes up and under the seat.

You had me for a minute. The RR tail and Honda's legal department is why I realized it was a spoof. A friend of mine's dad dropped his 954 in the driveway while pushing it and the insurance wanted to write it off. I was drooling at the idea of buying the perfect 954 other than the plastic for 3 or 4000$ and slapping a few 919 parts on. I also saw an article about a Kawi 10R with the same treatment. Jet black naked bike that can do 100mph in first gear for less than the price of a new SV650. Sign me up.

Really, is there any point to those passenger pegs? I believe the 2nd up would have her knees in her eye sockets.
