TWO article on the CB1000R
Recieved this months issue of TWO. It has a small write-up on the new Ducati 1100 Monster. What a good looking bike. Ducati didn't get sucked into the "let's make a unique looking Mask/Badge /Headlight cluster" that the other manufacturers have. Tough from every angle.
Then the article that I have been waiting months for, the CB1000R. I like Urry, but this article doesn't really give too many details about the bike. But basically, It has a wonderful engine. "The engine pulls like a turbine, pulling completely linear from 1000 rpm to 10,000 rpm. Smooth, hassle free and happy to pull from 2000 rpm in top gear." Fantastic, packed full of power, a class apart, a motor perfect for it's purpose and not lacking in any way."
It's a good looking bike in white. Handling is not razor sharp, more secure and unflustered.
Nothing about fuel mileage other than it'll go 135 miles between fillups. 17 litre tank. Seat height 32 1/2 inches. Tricky to spot digital speedo and large rev counter. Don't know whatit actually weighs. No Dyno chart.
