Traxxion Dynamics Needs our Help! Tank Sliders?

Hey guys.......

There's another thread in this section talking about the idea of having Tank sliders made for the 919. Traxxion Dynamics is interested in making something for us.

Traxxion needs a 919 gas tank to scan......

#1 ---- anyone live near and willing to stop by their shop with their 9'er?
#2 ---- anyone have an extra tank we can send their way?

Here's their address.....

261 Rope Mill Pkwy, Suite 3, Woodstock, GA 30188

Forgot to say ---- if there is anyway you think you can help out with this.... PM me.

Like before..... I have no connection to these guys --- I just knew they made R6 tank sliders, sent them an e-mail, and they seem interested in the idea of making something for us 9'ers.

As of two weeks ago.....poolboy sent in a extra tank he had, they received it and started the scanning process.

Next step is to get the tank back & hopefully see an idea in the next couple weeks. To be honest though, I have no idea how long an idea like this takes to become a finished sellable product.

I'll bet they sub out the work, as mould making and complex net shape plastic is not their core expertise.
They are probably waiting for their sub to quote them so they can next price up and quote you.

i know it can take a while for them to get out a completed product, i was wondering if they had drafted up a computer image, or if they sent any word on what was going on.

Dear Poorboy

In order for Traxxion to take a successful mold off your tank they had to take a plasma cutter to it and slice off each side.

I thought for sure they'd simply fill the tank with lead....and route the fuel line to a small bottle strapped to your back.

You then could slide all day long without any worries.
