trackday

Ran off to the track after scoring some decent used track gear. Apparently a bright helmet and a bright suit makes a difference. Getting better with the body positioning, knee is finally dragging before the pegs. Now if I could just go faster...

Comfy 32 degrees out today .Must be getting cold out there now... Hehe

It's below the freezing mark in the morning pretty much every day now.
No snow yet.

Do you have any kind of prep work or inspection for track days ?
Also you were talking 32C correct?

Most tracks have a basic tech inspection.

Depends on the organization at your track......if your racing, the rules for prep will be more stringent....

Typical trackdays will usually require a full suit, gloves, boots, and a current helmet. Most tracks require safty wiring of the oil filter, oil drain plug/filler, and coolant cap.....most also require you to not use a standard coolant. (water wetter or engine ice). Front/rear lights are usually unplugged and taped....with the kickstand either zip tied or removed.

If it's a trackday organized thru a racing organization/association, yes. The upside of having to tape over lights etc. is having flagmen/marshals, and a first aid tent. Most times me and a few buddies chip-in to rent the track for a few hours. In the latter the case we police ourselves, run-what-you-brung and clean up after yourselves...Some one has to be the designated driver incase theres a crash or make a coffee run!
