time for a new fuel filter

My 919 is aboout 29K, is it time to change the fuel filter, I dun think it was ever done for a "new to me" bike and dun have a service history when I bought it. any "how to" thread for the fuel filter change? I think the filter is located inside the tank....

You have to navigate to the fuel tank section. . . doesn't seem to direct link.

make sure you replace the fuel pump gasket.
i tried cheaping out once, but it really distorts if left out of place for long (or maybe for short, too) and makes gas run all down your engine.

I'm about 50:50 with reusing the old gaskets. I damaged one with a tank I got off of fleabay, the place where the pump mounts was distorted as hell and cut the gasket. A bit of loving and I got that part of the tank back into shape...but the gasket was toast.

when does honda say to change it? not sure i'd dick with unless i was having an issue. unless you just want something to wrench on, i get like that sometimes.

The service manual does not list a service interval.

There are trouble-shooting procedures that point to a clogged fuel filter.

It looks like this is one of those "if its not broke..." situations.
