Throttle lock w/ CRG bar end mirrors?

It would be nice to install a throttle lock on the 919....(was thinking about a Kaoko from TwistedThrottle)

Does anyone know of a way to use a throttle lock yet still use a CRG bar end mirror? (The CRG mounts to a special cut bar end weight)

What Throttle locks are you guys using?

I use a Crampbuster on longer rides. It doesn't actually lock (which I like) and it does not interfere with my bar ends. You can install or remove it in a second. It allows you to control speed with your palm thereby resting your fingers and thumb. It's also cheap.

Maybe that's the ticket.......accidentally locking a throttle lock in the twisties or in a crash would not be cool. Removable would be a big plus....

Take a look at !!!MANIC Salamander - Smooth City tm Throttle Locks and Bar-End Weights and go to the bottom of the page just to see one example of how one company allows weights, locks, and mirrors to work together.

It might give you a brainstorm how to set it up yourself, or how to find a cheaper solution.

Good luck.

Stopped by the local cycle joint today......must have passed the same end cap 50 times this last year.....yep, they had a crampbuster sitting there. Got the 'good guy' discount.

Paid.......$9.52. I'm completely blown away by what a $9 piece of plastic will do.....and it's removable!

+1.........you guys rock!

Here's a real throttle lock for $12!

Check this out! I've been using it for a couple of years now and it's a life saver on long trips.

I have been using one just like that for years with bar end mirrors. No problems with either so far. The throttle lock is almost indestructible!

That's a NEP, Vista Cruise.

Funny enough, they are made right around the corner from me in Hudsonville, MI. (its simply a small warehouse that distributes the throttle locks to the big boys like Parts Unlimited) Who knows, they're probably made in China somewhere.....

I have a crampbuster, and also a throttle lock...its kinda like the vista cruise, of unknown brand. My dad had it on his old goldwing, and didn't need it anymore.

Crampbuster was a very good investment for $10 +/-
I'd recommend it to anybody & everybody!

Well, fire the engines! Spur this iron space-pony on!
