Thanks, Phobman...

...for making such a cool user-friendly center stand. I'm gonna sound like an eBay feedback, but I highly recommend any 919er getting one of these!!! Thanks, Phobman!

Anyone interested in buying one can read all about it on my 919 page. Scroll down to the bottom of the page. Not too fast, there is a lot of other helpful information.

I liked his stand so much that when I totaled my first 919, I bought another 919 just so I could use it!

Hmmm, was trying to figure out how to support my bike when I take the front forks apart this winter for powercoating, looks like this might be the answer.

You fixed gear people are crazy.

I'm a flat-lander and stick to one or two gears most of the time; but when you ride into a 20 knot head wind, the more options the better.

Plus - I don't want to have to stop to change gears.

well, since we're on the subject...
I was just saying this weekend that I didn't ride it much this summer, but I don't think I'll EVER sell it. it's a beautiful to look at as it is to ride.

so from what I can tell- you bolt the stand on, and roll the bike backwards and it lifts the bike up that way...?

No bolts, just a t-handled rod that passes through holes in the stand, and the factory holes in the frame. Line up the holes, insert T-rod, then insert pin for safety (Phob's drilled-out pin hole is even chamfered for easy placement of pin!!!). Then, from the right-hand side of the bike, basically push the bike backwards while placing pressure on the stand's "leg," and up she goes.

Ordered mine up from the mighty Phobman today, will make tearing down my front end for powdercoating a much simpler process.
